 Friendship with Books

Arsalan and Rehan were very good friends. They both studied in the same class. Their house was also in the same neighborhood. Rehan was very fond of reading. He read textbooks as well as other books with great interest ۔ All he had were books. Whenever Arsalan asked him a question, Rehan would answer it with arguments. This would have satisfied Arsalan and would have created a passion for reading in him. But where was his time for sports?

One day when Arsalan went to Rehan's house, he took Arsalan to his room. As soon as he entered the room, Arsalan's eyes widened in surprise. Because the whole room was full of different bookcases. Rehan said. "Man's best friend is the book,"  When Arsalan asked, he said. "All these books are mine which I have bought out of my own pocket. Rehan gave him to read an interesting book of events. After reading the first incident, he became interested in reading the next incident. Thus Arsalan stood there and Read about twenty-five pages. 

And he took Rehan home with him to read a book. Now instead of going to the ground in the evening, Arsalan used to sit with Rehan and read in his library. Arsalan had changed a lot. Books had become a part of his life. Now, instead of wasting money, he would collect it and go with Rehan every month to buy books because he knew that time is wasted on sports and books are man's best and loyal friend. Friends! If you also want to make a good friend and save your precious time from being wasted, make friends with books.

کتابوں سے دوستی

ارسلان اور ریحان بہت اچھے دوست تھے۔ وہ دونوں ایک ہی کلاس میں پڑھتے تھے۔ ان کا گھر بھی اسی محلے میں تھا۔ ریحان کو پڑھنے کا بہت شوق تھا۔ وہ درسی کتابوں کے ساتھ ساتھ دوسری کتابیں بھی بڑی دلچسپی سے پڑھتا تھا۔ اس کے پاس صرف کتابیں تھیں۔ ارسلان جب بھی اس سے کوئی سوال کرتا تو ریحان اس کا جواب دلائل سے دیتا۔ اس سے ارسلان مطمئن ہو جاتا اور اس میں پڑھنے کا شوق پیدا ہو جاتا۔ لیکن کھیل کود کے لیے اس کا وقت کہاں تھا۔

ایک دن ارسلان ریحان کے گھر گیا تو وہ ارسلان کو اپنے کمرے میں لے گیا۔ کمرے میں داخل ہوتے ہی ارسلان کی آنکھیں حیرت سے پھیل گئیں۔ کیونکہ پورا کمرہ مختلف کتابوں کی الماریوں سے بھرا ہوا تھا۔ ریحان نے کہا۔ "انسان کی بہترین دوست کتاب ہے" ارسلان نے پوچھا تو اس نے کہا۔ "یہ سب کتابیں میری ہیں جو میں نے اپنی جیب سے خریدی ہیں۔ ریحان نے اسے واقعات کی ایک دلچسپ کتاب پڑھنے کے لیے دی، پہلا واقعہ پڑھ کر اسے اگلا واقعہ پڑھنے کا شوق پیدا ہوا۔ یوں ارسلان وہیں کھڑا ہو کر بیس کے قریب پڑھا۔ پانچ صفحات۔اور وہ ریحان کو کتاب پڑھنے کے لیے اپنے ساتھ گھر لے گیا، اب ارسلان شام کو گراؤنڈ جانے کے بجائے ریحان کے ساتھ بیٹھ کر اس کی لائبریری میں پڑھتا تھا۔

ارسلان بہت بدل چکا تھا۔ کتابیں ان کی زندگی کا حصہ بن چکی تھیں۔ اب وہ پیسے ضائع کرنے کے بجائے اسے اکٹھا کرتا اور ہر ماہ ریحان کے ساتھ کتابیں خریدنے جاتا کیونکہ وہ جانتا تھا کہ کھیل کود میں وقت ضائع ہوتا ہے اور کتابیں انسان کی بہترین اور وفادار دوست ہوتی ہیں۔ دوستو! اگر آپ بھی اچھا دوست بنانا چاہتے ہیں اور اپنا قیمتی وقت ضائع ہونے سے بچانا چاہتے ہیں تو کتابوں سے دوستی کریں۔
