Ashraf's hair fell out after he fell ill. Now there was little hope for Barbari's survival. Because for the third time he had a heart attack. The doctors also told him to pray to Allah Almighty for his recovery.

After hearing Ashraf's Ram story, all the children died on their own. What could they do? And they could not even say anything to their mother. However, the younger son ended his life by taking pills. When she saw the death of her son, she fell into a coma.

After living on his death bed for a year and a half, one day he too met his youngest son. The house was rooted, and the chain was ruined. The peace was shattered. But Ashraf remained stubborn. After Bushra's forties, the house was divided into two parts and Brahman became one part with Salma as per his intention. Ashraf's eldest son Javedab had dropped out of school and became a pick-up driver to support his younger sisters. One day Ashraf called Javed to his house and ordered that if you want to stay in this house you have to marry Salma's younger sister. In case of refusal, you will have to be evicted from your home and also be deprived of property. The decision is in your hands.

Give me an answer in the affirmative so that I can decide your future after thinking carefully and also consulting my elder sisters. ”Javed kept on coping with the situation but for how long it was impossible to escape from Ashraf's order. Ashraf's decision was a line on a rock. Javed's condition was deplorable and he could not share his grief with anyone nor could he challenge his father's decision in any court.

Javed did not want to marry Salma's daughter under any circumstances. According to him, Salma was the killer of his brother and mother.

His house was destroyed due to his misfortune. Javed had no solution for this. But Ashraf wanted his order to be obeyed in any case. One day, Ashraf snatched the key to the pick-up from Javed and prevented him from entering the house. With Salma's intervention, the marriage affair was postponed for a few months. Javed surrendered in view of the delicacy of the situation. Obeying his father's order, he took a bitter sip for the future of his sisters and brought Salma's sister home as a bride, and started pushing the car of life. Ashraf is happy with Salma while Javed was driving day and night to collect money for his remaining two sisters.

Then one day he told his wife and forced the father to name the house after her. As soon as the house was named, he tore down the middle wall and cried a lot that day remembering his siblings, mother, and young brother. After some time, Javed sold the house and came to the city with his sisters and wife.

My father kept begging me that my job is in this place. What should I do after going to the city? Don't make me homeless. But he did not believe one.

Father, when you took power, you thought of us and became selfish. Now I am doing the same thing so that you have to face the pain, you also know what the pain of helplessness is. Salma also came to the city with her son-in-law and daughter because Javed's wife was hopeful. Thus Ashraf was left alone on the last frontier of old age.

بیمار پڑنے پر اشرف کے بال گر گئے۔ اب بربری کے زندہ رہنے کی امید کم ہی تھی۔ کیونکہ تیسری بار انہیں دل کا دورہ پڑا تھا۔ ڈاکٹروں نے انہیں یہ بھی کہا کہ اللہ تعالیٰ سے ان کی صحت یابی کے لیے دعا کریں۔ بشریٰ تین ماہ سے اسپتال میں داخل تھیں۔ پانچ لڑکیاں اور دو لڑکے پیدا ہوئے جبکہ تین بڑی لڑکیوں کی بھی شادی کر دی گئی تھی۔ لڑکے یکے بعد دیگرے ایف اے اور میٹرک کے طالب علم تھے۔ اللہ تعالیٰ نے انسان کو دوبارہ زندگی سے نوازا۔ بچوں کی دعائیں کام آئیں۔ اشرف کی امیدوں پر پانی پھر گیا۔ وہ گھر میں نئی ​​دلہن سے شادی کرنا چاہتا تھا۔ اس کا خواب شرمندہ تعبیر نہ ہو سکا۔ سارے منصوبے دھرے کے دھرے رہ گئے۔ اس لیے جہاں اسے لفٹ ملتی وہیں ڈھیر لگا دیتا۔

بشریٰ گھر پہنچی تو گھریلو حالات تلخ ہو گئے۔ میاں بیوی میں جھگڑا ہونے لگا۔ اشرف بہانے بنا کر بشریٰ سے جھگڑا کرتا تھا۔ بچے روز کی لڑائی سے تنگ آچکے تھے۔ ایک دن شادی شدہ لڑکیاں اپنے شوہر کے والدین کے ساتھ۔ تشریف لائیے اشرف نے بتایا کہ رات کو جب اشرف ڈیوٹی سے واپس آیا تو لڑکیوں اور دامادوں نے اسے گھیر لیا اور روزانہ بازار کی وجہ پوچھی۔ "میں گھر کو دو حصوں میں تقسیم کرنا چاہتا ہوں، ایک حصے میں بشریٰ اپنے بچوں کے ساتھ رہے گی، جب کہ دوسرے حصے میں میری نئی بیوی سلمیٰ اپنی بیٹی کے ساتھ رہے گی، جو اس کے پچھلے شوہر سے ہے۔ مجھے بشریٰ کے بچنے کی کوئی امید نہیں تھی، اسی لیے میں نے اپنے بچوں کے لیے ایک اور ماں کا بندوبست کیا تھا۔ چنانچہ جب میں سلمیٰ کو اس گھر میں لانا چاہتا ہوں تو بشری نے روک دیا۔

سلمیٰ اب میری بیوی ہے، میری عزت ہے۔ " اشرف کی رام کہانی سن کر سارے بچے اپنے آپ مر گئے۔ وہ کیا کر سکتے تھے؟ اور وہ اپنی ماں کو کچھ کہہ بھی نہیں سکتے تھے۔ اشرف کے لیے ہنگامہ کیا کرتا تھا۔ بڑا بیٹا اپنے باپ کو اچھی طرح سمجھتا تھا۔ لیکن ڈھاکہ کے تینوں دیگوں اشرف پر نہ بیٹی کے رونے کا اور نہ داماد کی کسی دھمکی کا کوئی اثر ہوا۔ تاہم چھوٹے بیٹے نے گولیاں کھا کر زندگی کا خاتمہ کر لیا۔ بیٹے کی موت دیکھ کر وہ کوما میں چلی گئی۔ ڈیڑھ سال بستر مرگ پر رہنے کے بعد ایک دن وہ بھی اپنے سب سے چھوٹے بیٹے سے ملا۔ گھر اجڑ گیا، زنجیر اجڑ گئی۔ امن و امان درہم برہم ہو گیا۔ لیکن اشرف اپنی ضد پر ڈٹا رہا۔

بشریٰ کے چالیس کے بعد گھر دو حصوں میں بٹ گیا اور برہمن اپنی منشا کے مطابق سلمیٰ کے ساتھ ایک حصہ بن گیا۔ اشرف کے بڑے بیٹے جاویداب نے اسکول چھوڑ دیا تھا اور اپنی چھوٹی بہنوں کی کفالت کے لیے پک اپ ڈرائیور بن گیا تھا۔ ایک دن اشرف نے جاوید کو اپنے گھر بلایا اور حکم دیا کہ اگر تم اس گھر میں رہنا چاہتے ہو تو تمہیں سلمیٰ کی چھوٹی بہن سے شادی کرنا ہوگی۔ انکار کی صورت میں آپ کو گھر سے بے دخل کرنا پڑے گا اور جائیداد سے بھی محروم ہونا پڑے گا۔ فیصلہ آپ کے ہاتھ میں ہے۔ مجھے اثبات میں جواب دیں تاکہ میں سوچ سمجھ کر اور اپنی بڑی بہنوں سے مشورہ کر کے آپ کے مستقبل کا فیصلہ کر سکوں۔ " جاوید حالات کا مقابلہ کرتا رہا لیکن کتنی دیر تک اشرف کے حکم سے بچنا ناممکن تھا۔ اشرف کا فیصلہ چٹان پر لکیر تھا۔

جاوید کی حالت ناگفتہ بہ تھی اور وہ کسی سے اپنا دکھ بانٹ نہیں سکتا تھا اور نہ ہی اپنے والد کے فیصلے کو کسی عدالت میں چیلنج کر سکتا تھا۔ جاوید کسی بھی حالت میں سلمیٰ کی بیٹی سے شادی نہیں کرنا چاہتا تھا۔ ان کے مطابق سلمیٰ اپنے بھائی اور والدہ کی قاتل تھی۔ اس کی بدقسمتی سے اس کا گھر تباہ ہو گیا۔ جاوید کے پاس اس کا کوئی حل نہیں تھا۔ لیکن اشرف چاہتا تھا کہ اس کا حکم ہر حال میں مانا جائے۔ ایک دن اشرف نے جاوید سے پک اپ کی چابی چھین لی اور اسے گھر میں داخل ہونے سے روک دیا۔ سلمیٰ کی مداخلت سے شادی کا معاملہ چند مہینوں کے لیے ٹل گیا۔ جاوید نے حالات کی نزاکت کو دیکھتے ہوئے ہتھیار ڈال دیے۔ باپ کا حکم مانتے ہوئے بہنوں کے مستقبل کے لیے کڑوا گھونٹ لیا اور سلمیٰ کی بہن کو دلہن بنا کر گھر لے آیا اور زندگی کی گاڑی کو دھکیلنے لگا۔

اشرف سلمیٰ کے ساتھ خوش ہے جبکہ جاوید اپنی باقی دو بہنوں کے لیے پیسے جمع کرنے کے لیے دن رات گاڑی چلا رہا تھا۔

پھر ایک دن اس نے اپنی بیوی کو بتایا اور باپ کو مجبور کیا کہ وہ گھر اس کے نام پر رکھے۔ گھر کا نام لیتے ہی اس نے درمیانی دیوار پھاڑ دی اور اس دن اپنے بہن بھائیوں، ماں اور چھوٹے بھائی کو یاد کر کے بہت رویا۔ کچھ عرصے بعد جاوید نے گھر بیچ دیا اور اپنی بہنوں اور بیوی کے ساتھ شہر آ گیا میرے والد مجھ سے منتیں کرتے رہے کہ میری نوکری اسی جگہ ہے۔ شہر جانے کے بعد مجھے کیا کرنا چاہیے؟ مجھے بے گھر نہ کرو۔

لیکن اس نے ایک نہیں مانا۔ ابا، جب آپ نے اقتدار سنبھالا تو آپ نے ہمارا خیال کیا اور خود غرض ہو گئے۔ اب میں بھی وہی کر رہا ہوں تاکہ تمہیں تکلیف کا سامنا کرنا پڑے، تمہیں بھی معلوم ہو کہ بے بسی کا درد کیا ہوتا ہے۔ سلمیٰ بھی اپنے داماد اور بیٹی کے ساتھ شہر آگئی کیونکہ جاوید کی بیوی امید سے تھی۔ یوں اشرف بڑھاپے کے آخری محاذ پر اکیلا رہ گیا۔

جو لوگ خود غرض اور گھٹیا ہوتے ہیں، دنیا نے انہیں وہی بدصورت رویہ دیا ہے۔
