The King's Thief
Long ago when kings ruled everywhere, once a king got angry with one of his servant chiefs and expelled him from the court and order him "You are commanded to stay in your house day and night, not to go out or to work." This was a seemingly insignificant order because it is very difficult to stay at home day and night without doing any work and spending free time. Anyway, a man gets nervous while living in the same place and with the same kind of people.
Spending time like this was difficult, he lay there all day and could do nothing. Sardar was very upset because it was a question of feeding his children. When he does not step out of the house, where will the wife feed the children? Coincidentally, a few days later, the king, the minister, and the princes were summoned. When Sardar understood a trick, his eyes sparkled. He sent his wife to the neighborhood to fetch a precious pair. She brought a valuable pair from the neighborhood. Sardar hurriedly adorned the precious pair and left the house and walked proudly to the royal court.
The courtier understood that there was a distinguished guest and took him away and seated him on a chair with other great people. Sardar stiffened his neck and sat down on the chair. The court began. All the ceremonies of the celebration were performed and after that high-quality food was placed on the table. Sardar also extended his hand and ate very well and then he saved his eyes and cleverly hid a gold plate in his clothes. ۔ Then his wife would go to the market and cut a piece of gold plate and sell it to get some money. Thus the Sardar's life began to pass smoothly and the trouble was gone. On the other hand, the servants of the court saw that a gold plate was missing, so the poor people became very nervous and started running here and there to find the plate.
The king saw their condition and said, "Why are you all upset?" I know that the gold plate has disappeared and you will not find it now. I also know who stole that plate. The next year there was a celebration and the court was filled with guests. Guests were served food at the end of the celebration. Sardar was also present on the occasion. After eating, he saved his eyesight and with great satisfaction hid a gold plate in his clothes. When the court was over and the guests started leaving, the Sardar also started coming out of the palace gate when suddenly the king came forward.
When he saw the king, he was very upset and looked around in panic. The king stretched out his hand and took her by the hand and said, "Last year's plate is gone. Do you want to take another plate again?"
At last, he fell at the feet of the king and said, "I was locked up in my house in obedience to the order of the king. For many months I was anxious and distressed. Eventually, I was forced to make this strange move. My lord, forgive me. The king thought for a while and then said, "Well, we forgave you and restored your job."
It was our fault. We had given such an order that a man would be compelled to steal out of hunger and hardship. If we had not imprisoned you at home, you would probably never have done such a thing. Go! Don't do that now, theft is a bad thing anyway. Both the king and the chief made a mistake. They both deal with their confidence as they choose to embark on their play activities. It is said that the chief never stole again and the king never punished anyone like that.
بادشاہ کا چور
بہت پہلے جب ہر جگہ بادشاہوں کی حکومت تھی، ایک دفعہ ایک بادشاہ اپنے ایک نوکر سردار سے ناراض ہو گیا اور اسے دربار سے نکال دیا اور اسے حکم دیا کہ "تمہیں حکم ہے کہ دن رات اپنے گھر میں رہو، باہر نہ جاؤ اور نہ کام کرو۔" یہ بظاہر معمولی حکم تھا کیونکہ بغیر کوئی کام کیے اور فارغ وقت گزارے بغیر دن رات گھر میں رہنا بہت مشکل ہے۔ ویسے بھی آدمی ایک ہی جگہ اور ایک ہی قسم کے لوگوں میں رہتے ہوئے گھبرا جاتا ہے۔
اس طرح وقت گزارنا مشکل تھا، وہ سارا دن وہیں پڑا رہتا اور کچھ نہیں کر سکتا تھا۔ سردار بہت پریشان تھا کیونکہ یہ ان کے بچوں کو پالنے کا سوال تھا۔ جب وہ گھر سے باہر نہیں نکلے گا تو بیوی بچوں کو کہاں کھلائے گی۔ اتفاق سے کچھ دنوں بعد بادشاہ، وزیر اور شہزادے بلائے گئے۔ سردار کو ایک چال سمجھ آئی تو اس کی آنکھیں چمک اٹھیں۔ اس نے اپنی بیوی کو ایک قیمتی جوڑا لانے کے لیے محلے بھیجا۔ وہ محلے سے ایک قیمتی جوڑا لایا۔ سردار نے جلدی سے قیمتی جوڑا سجایا اور گھر سے نکلا اور بڑے فخر سے شاہی دربار کی طرف چل دیا۔
درباری نے سمجھا کہ کوئی معزز مہمان ہے اور اسے لے جا کر دوسرے بڑے لوگوں کے ساتھ کرسی پر بٹھا دیا۔ سردار نے گردن اکڑائی اور کرسی پر بیٹھ گیا۔ عدالت شروع ہوئی۔ جشن کی تمام تقریبات کو انجام دیا گیا اور اس کے بعد دسترخوان پر اعلیٰ معیار کا کھانا رکھا گیا۔ سردار نے بھی ہاتھ بڑھا کر خوب کھایا اور پھر اس نے اپنی نظریں بچا کر چالاکی سے سونے کی پلیٹ کپڑوں میں چھپا لی۔ ۔ پھر اس کی بیوی بازار جاتی اور سونے کی پلیٹ کا ایک ٹکڑا کاٹ کر بیچ دیتی تاکہ کچھ رقم حاصل کر سکے۔ یوں سردار کی زندگی آرام سے گزرنے لگی اور پریشانی دور ہو گئی۔ دوسری طرف دربار کے خادموں نے دیکھا کہ سونے کی ایک پلیٹ غائب ہے تو بیچارے بہت گھبرا گئے اور پلیٹ ڈھونڈنے کے لیے ادھر ادھر بھاگنے لگے۔
بادشاہ نے ان کی حالت دیکھ کر کہا تم سب پریشان کیوں ہو؟ میں جانتا ہوں کہ سونے کی پلیٹ غائب ہو گئی ہے اور اب تمہیں نہیں ملے گی۔ میں یہ بھی جانتا ہوں کہ وہ پلیٹ کس نے چرائی تھی۔ اگلے سال جشن ہوا اور دربار مہمانوں سے بھر گیا۔ تقریب کے اختتام پر مہمانوں کو کھانا پیش کیا گیا۔ اس موقع پر سردار بھی موجود تھے۔ کھانے کے بعد اس نے اپنی بینائی بچائی اور بڑے اطمینان سے سونے کا ایک پلیٹ کپڑوں میں چھپا لیا۔ جب دربار ختم ہوا اور مہمان رخصت ہونے لگے تو سردار بھی محل کے دروازے سے باہر نکلنے لگا کہ اچانک بادشاہ آگے آیا۔
بادشاہ کو دیکھ کر وہ بہت پریشان ہوا اور گھبراہٹ سے ادھر ادھر دیکھنے لگا۔ بادشاہ نے اپنا ہاتھ بڑھا کر اس کا ہاتھ پکڑ کر کہا، پچھلے سال کی پلیٹ ختم ہوگئی، کیا تم دوبارہ دوسری پلیٹ لینا چاہتے ہو؟ آخر کار وہ بادشاہ کے قدموں میں گر گیا اور کہا کہ میں بادشاہ کے حکم کی تعمیل میں اپنے گھر میں بند تھا، کئی مہینوں تک میں بے چین اور پریشان رہا، آخر کار مجھے یہ عجیب حرکت کرنے پر مجبور ہونا پڑا۔ میرے آقا مجھے معاف کر دیں۔بادشاہ نے کچھ دیر سوچا اور پھر کہا کہ اچھا ہم نے آپ کو معاف کر دیا اور آپ کی نوکری بحال کر دی۔
یہ ہماری غلطی تھی۔ ہم نے ایسا حکم دیا تھا کہ آدمی بھوک اور تنگدستی سے چوری کرنے پر مجبور ہو جائے گا۔ اگر ہم نے تمہیں گھر میں قید نہ کیا ہوتا تو شاید تم کبھی ایسی حرکت نہ کرتے۔ جاؤ! اب ایسا مت کرو، ویسے بھی چوری بری چیز ہے۔ بادشاہ اور سردار دونوں نے غلطی کی۔ وہ دونوں اپنے اعتماد سے نمٹتے ہیں جب وہ اپنی کھیل کی سرگرمیوں کو شروع کرنے کا انتخاب کرتے ہیں۔ کہا جاتا ہے کہ سردار نے پھر کبھی چوری نہیں کی اور بادشاہ نے کبھی کسی کو ایسی سزا نہیں دی۔
